Our Amazing School Life

Using Waldorf Education’s renowned teaching methods, the academic program at the Waldorf School of Jordan is based on a deep understanding of the child’s nature. At our international school in Amman, we integrate learning with creativity and inspiring life-experiences. We teach every subject using a time-tested combination of art, music, movement and hands-on activities to inspire students with a genuine love of learning that lasts a lifetime. Instead of memorization and repetition, we teach our students how to truly think for themselves. Waldorf students are lovingly prepared for a lifetime of creative thinking and seeking their own answers.

Creativity

Lessons are more engaging and engaging when taught in a classroom where teachers are encouraged to use their creativity. Students are better able to think creatively and are more motivated to learn when the curriculum includes just the right amount of room for artistic expression. Young people can develop better emotional and social skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Teachers who use their imagination in the classroom can significantly impact their students' learning and their ability to apply what they learn in the real world. Opportunities for creative expression greatly aid a student's emotional growth.

Success in the modern world depends on young people developing better emotional and social skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with others. Creative thinking is an essential skill no matter what the future holds, and Waldorf Education is dedicated to fostering it in everything we do. Opportunities for creative expression enhance students’ emotional growth and power lifelong achievement. Waldorf is a place where children learn to trust their ideas, believe in themselves, and push the limits of what is possible!

Curiosity

Curiosity is a powerful learning tool, and most educators recognize this. They are aware, however, that many students can succeed academically without being inquisitive if they learn the test-taking system and diligently complete their assignments. Children who are naturally inquisitive will read and learn not because they need to or because they want to improve their grades. Kids who are captivated by a thirst for knowledge tend to lose sight of the here and now in favor of their quest for knowledge.

When approached by the news media and asked the question, "What did Waldorf Education do for you?" Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg replied, "It encouraged me to always strive to become a better human being."
