Mission
The Waldorf School of Jordan provides a rich K-12 education that supports the development of self-directed young adults dedicated to the pursuit of ongoing learning and eager to contribute positively to the global society of the 21st century. This education is rooted in the insights and pedagogical methods of Rudolf Steiner, who stated: “Our highest endeavor must be to develop free human beings, who are able of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives.”
Values
The Waldorf School of Jordan’s values grow out of our Community Star Code and are deeply embedded and expressed at all levels of social, professional, and academic life. These six values are: respect for people and property; kindness to self and others; celebration of diversity; appreciation for the good in each other; honesty in all situations; and responsibility for what we say and do. We consider a seventh value––the courage to act in accordance with all of our values and beliefs––to be implicit and essential as well, and we teach and promote it accordingly.
