As an International School we strive to integrate and balance the best of Waldorf pedagogy with the rigor of internationally recognized learning standards. Our curriculum is fully bilingual in English and Arabic, and designed in accordance with the Jordanian Ministry of Education’s requirements for an American “SAT system” school program. We are accredited by Cognia, the world’s largest evaluation and accreditation body for schools and educational systems. Through Cognia, we are also fully accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and Schools (NCA CASI), the Northwest Accrediting Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
As a Waldorf School we are exceptional in our strong focus on promoting the creative arts, developmental well-being, and student self-expression and individuality. We have invested heavily in Waldorf-based training and professional learning, inviting mentors and trainers from international Waldorf schools to observe, advise and lead extended workshops for our teachers and staff. And because our purpose involves bringing together the best of Waldorf and international-American education in Amman, we have invested heavily in more traditional school improvement programs as well. Our teachers benefit from a rich and regular array of professional development, enrichment, and training programs––and our students are prepared to excel in the combination of SAT, ACT, and AP exams required for high school graduation and success at university and beyond.
As a community we are proud of having been selected as a mentor school for teacher training by the Queen Rania Teacher Academy, and of having partnered with the organizations such as the Waldorf School of Austin, Columbia University Teachers College, the Royal Health Awareness Society, Reclaim Childhood, Evolving Education, Seenaryo, the MMAG Foundation, Amman Education Expo, Al-Said Foundation, Global Innovation Path, and others. We believe such work not only enriches our own programs but also sets a positive example of social responsibility for our students to follow.
